Stage lighting usually falls into a few core categories:

• laser lights for stunning visual effects.

A small theater stage (e.g., 300 square feet) needs about 15,000 lumens.
It’s enough to light actors, costumes, and scenery.

A medium-sized concert stage (e.g., 800 square feet) needs about 56,000 lumens. It's closer to a car’s high-beam headlights times 15–20, or 10–14 professional LED spots / moving heads running together.

To make people stand out on a stage, warm colors (reds, oranges, ambers) should be major tones. They bring energy and passion. They pull the audience in, making large venues feel intimate.

To make a mysterious vibe, cool colors (blues, purples, greens) are ideal. They create depth, and make a small stage feel infinite.
